LINCOLN

Claire M. (Hanks) McCarthy-Cadorette, 87, of Lincoln passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John L. McCarthy and the late Eugene A. Cadorette.

Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Agnes (Herard) Hanks. She resided in Lincoln for the past 13 years, previously residing in Cumberland.

Mrs. Cadorette was employed as an Office Manager for Dr. Cynthia Feinstein in Johnston for 7 years, retiring in 1998. She also worked as an office manager for Dr. Charles Johnson in Pawtucket for many years.

Claire was a communicant of St. Jude Church and member of the Third Order of Carmelite and was involved in the St. Jude Church SPRed program.

She leaves her son, John K. McCarthy of Johnston, her daughters, Maureen R. Hamilton of Lincoln, Erin C. McCarthy of Providence; her four grandchildren, Amy West, Lauren Pringle, Michael K. McCarthy and Stephanie L. McCarthy; her seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Sheila A. Morello and the late Catherine F. McCarthy and the sister of the late Donald J. Hanks.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Claire's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM and continue on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the St. Jude Church, Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in the RI Veteran Cemetery, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Carmelite Monastery, 25 Watson Ave, Barrington, RI 02806.
