CUMBERLAND

Xiao Dong Zhong, 58, of Cumberland, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 after a courageous battle with illness.  He was the beloved husband of Jun Mei, and they had been married for the past 34 years.

Born in Donglan, China, he moved to this country in 1994, settling in Woonsocket and later moving to Cumberland.  He was the son of Bi Wang of China and the late Quan Zhong.

Mr. Zhong was a registered nurse working primarily at Mt. St. Rita Health Centre and Trinity Rehab for many years.  He was loved by coworkers, patients and families for his tender care.

Xiao enjoyed cooking, traveling, singing, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his two daughters, Jessica Zhong of Cumberland and Michelle Zhong of Cumberland; his sister, Joyce Cheung of Hong Kong.

His services will be private.
