WOONSOCKET

Won Surita, 74, of Woonsocket, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.   He was the husband of Somded (Phanvongsa) Surita and they had been married for the past 50 years.

Born in Laos, he was the son of Boun and Nang Surita.  He moved to this country in 1980, settling in San Diego, CA and later moving to Woonsocket, RI.

Mr. Surita was employed as a Machine Operator for the International Lista Inc. of Holliston, MA for more than 35 years.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing.  He also loved spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his three children, Airvone Surita, Virasak Surita and Nancy Surita; his brother, Soukay Surita; his sister, Khamnang Surita; and his five grandchildren.

Relatives and friend are kindly invited to Won's Visitation to be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 5-7 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland.  Traditional services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2025 at 1 PM in the funeral home.  Cremation will follow at Four Points Crematory, Cumberland, RI.
