CUMBERLAND

Wayne Cardoso, 63, of Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved life partner of Karen Laushway.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Manuel and Miquelina (Neves) Cardoso. Wayne was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.

Wayne was a skilled Master Sprinkler Fitter and worked in the fire protection industry for many years. He was also the former owner of Safeway Fire Protection.

In his free time, Wayne enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, and NASCAR. He especially treasured the time spent with those closest to him.

In addition to his partner, Karen, he is survived by his two sons, Stephen Cardoso and Matthew Cardoso; his sister, Diana Marie Cardoso Petraca; and his three grandchildren, Amber, Cole, and Jade.

His funeral services will be held privately.
