Obituary

Vivian Claire Gauthier, 90, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late Edward Lionel Gauthier.

Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude (St. Amant) St. Germain.  She resided in Cumberland for most of her life, with 34 years residing on Beausoleil Street, Cumberland.

Mrs. Gauthier dedicated her life to the care of her family as a homemaker.  For a short time she worked in the Cumberland School Lunch program and at the former Amperex Inc., and St. Francis House.

Vivian was a communicant of the St. Joan of Arc Church.  She was a member of the St. Joseph Senior Citizen's Club Manville Albion Golden Agers, and the Cumberland Seniors.

She leaves her daughter, Patricia Daigneault and partner Julian Davis of Cumberland, her son, Robert Gauthier and his fiance Pamela Carroll of Seekonk, and Deborah Decker and her husband Greg of Renton, WA; her sister,  Therese Tessier of Woonsocket; her two grandchildren, H. Michael Gauthier and Lauren Gauthier. She was the mother of the late Henry Gauthier, and Ronald Gauthier, and the sister of the late Roland St. Germain.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
