Violet L. Poirier, 95, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Lawrence Poirier Jr. They have been married for the past 68 years.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Elzear and Fedelia (Robillard) Poulin. Violet resided in Cumberland for the past 65 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.

She was a communicant of St. Aidan Church, Cumberland and the St. Aidan Senior Club, where she also served as secretary.

Violet had a passion for spending time with her family, especially enjoying board games with her beloved grand kids. She also dedicated her time as a Brownie leader, creating meaningful connections and memories. Winters in Delray, Florida, and summers on the Cape were a cherished tradition, but her greatest joy always came from being surrounded by those she loved. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three children: Suzanne LaLiberte and her husband Kenneth of Cumberland, Monique Eaton and her husband Kip of Barrington, and Mark Poirier and his wife Sandy of Seekonk. Her seven grandchildren: Kip, Kara Ann, Alyse, Klark, Phillip, Jacob, and Corinne, two great-grandchildren: Callum, and Olivia, along with several nieces' and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Violet's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Aidan-St. Patrick Parish, 1460 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 105 North Main Street Providence, RI 02904.
