Victor R. Ayick, 90, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the beloved husband of June R. (Baumgartel) Ayick. They have been married for the past 67 years.

Born in Pawtucket, RI., he was the son of the late Rudolph and Yvonne (Bricault) Ayick. Vic has resided in Cumberland for the past 60 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.

He lived a life shaped by open roads, wide‑open skies, and the simple joys that made each day meaningful. Whether he was out boating on a peaceful afternoon, admiring the craftsmanship of antique cars, or embracing the rugged spirit of horses and the cowboy way of life, he carried a deep appreciation for freedom and tradition. A devoted car and motorcycle enthusiast, he loved the thrill of the ride just as much as the excitement of attending events at Seekonk Speedway. Music was another constant in his world; his country music collection brought him comfort, and he found quiet joy in picking up his guitar to play the songs that spoke to his heart. Vic had the ability to fix and repair anything. Traveling fed his curiosity, but it was his family who gave his life its truest purpose. Their love grounded him, inspired him, and remained the steady center of every adventure he chased.

He was a member for the Laborers International Local 271, Providence.

He was employed as the Chief Maintenance Foreman for Durastone Flexicore for more than 40 years until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark Ayick and his wife Maureen of Cumberland. His daughter-in-law Holly L. Ayick of Cumberland. His grandson, John D. Ayick of Cumberland, along with many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late David Ayick and brother of the late Oscar Marchand.

A Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 10 AM in the St. Aidan-St. Patrick Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
