Valerie Ann Tallon Kenny passed away peacefully on January 13, 2023 surrounded by family
after a valiant five-year battle against Metastatic Breast Cancer. She was 61.

Valerie was born on June 19, 1961 in Dublin, Ireland to Anna Spain Tallon and Lt. Col. Michael
Tallon of Athlone, Ireland.

After graduating from Our Lady's Bower in Athlone, Valerie studied nursing at Jervis Street
Hospital. Her career took her from Dublin to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she found a love for
Scuba Diving. Valerie came to the United States in 1994 and had a distinguished career as a
midwife and OBGYN Nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.

She lived in Lincoln, Rhode Island with her friend and former husband, Tim, and her two children, Ciara and
Jack, to whom she passed on her love for rowing and sailing.

Valerie is survived by her two loving children Ciara Kenny and Jack Kenny, and her friend and
former husband, Timothy Kenny, her father Lt. Col. Michael Tallon, her brother Michael Tallon of
Boston, and her sisters Melissa Claffey of Moate, Ireland, Sandra Clarke of Tullamore, Ireland
and Marise Tallon-Gevaux of Tonbridge, Kent, England.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 at 10 AM in the St. Jude Catholic Church,
301 Front Street in Lincoln RI.

Arrangements are under the direction of the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, Cumberland.
