Urania M. Pereira, 63, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Manuel S. Pereira. They were married for the past 37 years.

Born in Faial, Portugal, she was the daughter of Denis and Bernadette (Costa) Silva of Cumberland. Urania has resided in Lincoln for many years but came to this country 1959 with her family and settled in Central Falls and then Cumberland.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grand-daughters.

Alongside her husband, she leaves her two sons; Derek D. Pereira and his wife Tara of Coventry and Kevin M. Pereira of Pawtucket. Her two grand-daughters; Camila and Kaia Pereira.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Urania's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 5 PM to 8 PM and continuing on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
