CUMBERLAND

VIAU, Therese, (Houde), 95, of Cumberland passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2022 at the Grandview Center, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Charles Andre Viau.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Katherine (Baker) Houde. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.

Mrs. Viau was employed as an Administrative Assistant for Providence College for over 20 years.

She was a former communicant of the St. John Vianney Church. Terry, as she was affectionately known enjoyed Duckpin bowling, traveling, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves her daughter, Catherine A. Clarke of Cumberland; her son Andre Viau of Derry, NH; her seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Richard Viau, Denis Viau and Renee Viau. She was also the sister of the late Anita Berard and Rita Deslauriers.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Terry's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt, 1222, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in the St. Aidan Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
