CUMBERLAND

Theresa Estelle Marcotte, 79, of Cumberland passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.  She was the loving wife of Leon Marcotte and they shared 58 years of marriage.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late  Wilfred  and Estelle (Grenier) Bedard.  She resided in Smithfield for the past 21 years, previously residing in Cumberland.

Mrs. Marcotte was the former Administrative Assistant at St. Aidan Church in Cumberland for over 20 years.

She enjoyed quilting and crocheting, reading, spending time with her family and traveling to Bradenton, Florida; each year to be with many caring and loving friends. Those who love her will always remember her for her generosity and always helping others.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her daughter, Cindy Marcotte Aissis of West Hartford, Connecticut; her son, Bryan Marcotte and his wife, Brett Marcotte of Winter Garden, Florida; her brother, Wilfred Bedard and his wife, Louise Bedard of Palm Beach, Florida; her beloved grandchildren, Caitlin Clark, Sarah Aissis, Caroline Marcotte, Ashley Marcotte, and Andrew Marcotte; as well as two nieces and a nephew.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Theresa's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 9 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home.   A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in the St. Aidan/St. Patrick Parish, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's
Association, Rhode Island Chapter.
