Susan C. Saraiva, 49, of Cumberland, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Alfredo P. Saraiva and they had been married for the past 27 years.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of Manuel and Felicidade (Gomes) Craveiro of Central Falls. She resided in Cumberland for the past 27 years.
Mrs. Saraiva was employed as a bookkeeper for the past fifteen years for Frank Jacinto CPA and Associates.
Susan was a woman of many passions, from knitting and reading to taking exhilarating motorcycle rides with her husband. She found inspiration in HGTV shows, using their tips to renovate her home. Her loved ones will forever cherish memories of her by the pool, drinking a Miami Vice, and enjoying quality time with family and her beloved dogs. Despite her illness, Susan's strength never wavered, and she always made sure to be present at family events, including planning her daughter's wedding.
She leaves her children, Madison Gardner and her husband Hayden, Devon Saraiva and Emerson Saraiva; her sisters Ana Farrell and her husband Christopher and Margaret Craveiro; her brother Jose Craveiro and his wife Wendy; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cardoso and her husband Antonio; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited. to Susan's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM and continue on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At Susan's request, kindly wear the color purple at the visitation on Tuesday evening.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation (joeandruzzifoundation.org) or to the Pink Heels Association (ripinktrucks.com).
