CUMBERLAND

Susan M. (Leavitt) Nasif, 77, formerly of Cumberland and North Attleboro, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph M. Nasif Jr.

Born in Attleboro, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Marguerite (Black) Leavitt. She was born and raised in North Attleboro but resided in Cumberland for most of her life.

Mrs. Nasif was employed as a Teacher's Assistant for the Cumberland School Department for sixteen years. She was also employed at Emmanuel Preschool and as an administrative assistant at Walpole State Prison.

Susan enjoyed quilting, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending a nice day on the beach in Cancun or Aruba. She was an officer in the Reserve Officers Association of RI Women's Auxiliary and an active Den Mother for the Cub Scouts in her younger years. In addition, she was a member of the Cumberland School Volunteers Association.

In addition to her beloved husband, she leaves her two sons, Matthew Nasif of Lincoln and Jeffrey Nasif of Boulder, CO; her grandchildren, Haven Nasif of Eugene, OR, and Neea Nasif of Boulder, CO; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ann and Jack Leavitt.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Susan's Life Celebration, beginning with a visitation on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 1 to 4 PM and continuing on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 11 AM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Cumberland-Lincoln Boys and Girls Club, 1 James McKee Way, Cumberland, RI 02864, or the Cumberland School Volunteers Association, 2602 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI 02864.
