Simonne Y. Joseph, 81, a longtime resident of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2023, at Hope Health in Providence. She was the wife of the late Armand Bedard.

She was born to the late Raoul Morin and Leona (Flamand) Morin.

In her professional life, Simonne served as a dedicated secretary, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to her responsibilities.

Simonne was a devout communicant of the former St. Patrick Parish in Cumberland. Simonne cherished her beloved dogs, Abby and Molly, and cherished quality time with her family. Her unwavering dedication to caring for loved ones, including her pets, left a lasting impression. Her endearing personality had a unique way of making anyone she met feel like part of her family.

Simonne's greatest role in life was that of a loving mother. She was the proud mother of two children: Colleen Molt and her husband John of Charlestown, and Paul Joseph of Cumberland; and her brother, Leo Morin of Warwick.  She also leaves her two grandchildren, Bailey Hogan and Casey Hogan.

Simonne's warm and caring nature endeared her to many, and her presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Simonne's Life Celebration to be held with a Visitation on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 5 to 8 PM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt.122, Cumberland.   A prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM.  Burial will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 12 NOON at RI Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
