Shirley Theresa (Birtwell) Whiteside 95 of Lincoln and formerly of Vero Beach FL passed away Tuesday November 14.

Shirley was the daughter of James A. Birtwell Sr and Gladys (Warren) Birtwell. She is survived by her son William J. and "Son #2" Everett G. Lees of Cumberland.

Shirley was the wife of the late William J. Whiteside for 67 years.

Her daughter Mary-Louise Boyer and siblings Dorothy Hope Silva, James Jr and Helen Louise Santurri all have passed away. She leaves behind her Grandchildren Col (Ret) Alyson Delaney NH and Kyle Delaney RI. 5 Great grandchildren Devlin, River, Zander, Audra and Delilah.

Shirley and Bill were active members of the I.J. Bouffard Council Knights of Columbus for many years where they enjoyed dancing and meeting with friends. Shirley easily made close friendships both in RI and FL.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday November 20, 10:15 -11am in The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., N. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers a donation in Shirley's name to Hope Health Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Prov., RI 02904 would be appreciated.
