CUMBERLAND

Seth D. Whitney, 61 of Cumberland passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Kent County Hospital in Warwick, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Worcester, MA, he was the son of Jane Whitney of Upton, MA and the late Daniel Whitney.  He resided in Cumberland for the past 13 years, previously residing in Upton.

Seth enjoyed motorcycles, dirt bikes and anything else with a motor.  He also enjoyed golfing and home improvements and those who love him will remember his affection for duct tape.   He was a dedicated and loving family man who found positivity and laughter in all that he did.

He leaves his partner and best friend, Sandra Mello of Cumberland; his two sons, Eric Whitney and his wife Jessica of Blackstone, MA and Nick Whitney and his wife Caitlin of Fitchburg, MA; his step-children, Priscilla Mello and her husband Jorge of Pawtucket, Alexis Mello of Cumberland and Matthew Mello of Cumberland; his seven grandsons, James, Tyler, Mason, Easton, Jorge, Teixeira, and Adrian; his siblings, Heidi Dion, Beth Mattson, Andy Whitney, and Matt Whitney; as well as several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Seth's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 5 to 8 PM.
