CUMBERLAND
Sandra J. England, 79,  passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. She was the wife of the late Walter W. England III.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ella (Plante) Saville.   Sandra was a life-long resident of Cumberland.

Mrs. England was Customer Service Supervisor for 42 years at Texas Instruments / Sensata Technologies Inc.

Sandra's life was a beautiful blend of family, adventure, and creativity. She cherished traveling across the USA, Canada, and Europe with her loved ones, sharing roadside picnics and exploring national parks. Even as her children grew up, Sandra and her husband continued their adventures, venturing to Alaska, New Zealand, and various spots in Europe.

Family always came first for Sandra. She made sure they stayed connected by buying a vacation home in New Hampshire, a place filled with cherished memories.

Aside from her family, Sandra had a talent for crocheting and sewing cozy blankets for her children and grandchildren as well as clothing for family. She also enjoyed quiet hobbies like sitting on the beach with family, reading a good book, playing Scrabble, and solving crossword puzzles.

Those who knew Sandra will never forget her delicious holiday meals and the warmth of her love. She leaves behind a legacy of joy and togetherness that will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Thompson (late James Thompson) of Woodbury VT, Mark England and his wife Dorothy of Westchester, NY, and Brenda Simpson and Mark Yelle of Glendale, RI; her six grandchildren; Cassandra and Brent Thompson, Marina and Tyler England, and Brooke Belanger and Julia Simpson. Two great grandsons; Tobin and Gus Thompson; as well as several nieces and
nephews.  She was the sister of the late Claire Goudreau and Richard Saville.

Sandra's Life Celebration will be held with Visiting Hours on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM and continue of Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Aidan Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland.  Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
