Sandra I.
Berg
Sep 27, 1940 — Feb 25, 2025
Cumberland
Sandra I. Berg, beloved wife of David Berg, formerly of Cumberland, passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 84. She was a resident of Cumberland for more than 50 years.
Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, having also been employed for many years in the IBM Department for Flink Wholesale Grocers in Pawtucket and later as a clerical worker for Gorwood Business Services in Cumberland.
A woman of great Christian faith, she was a longtime member of Crossroads International Church, Assembly of God, South Attleboro, MA, and active for many years in Aglow International, a non-denominational ministry where she forged many lifelong friendships. A voracious reader, Sandra enjoyed word games, flowers, giving gifts and traveling with her husband on countless adventures. She was also a tremendous cook blessed with the gift of hospitality; one of her greatest joys was entertaining family and friends in her home.
In addition to her husband of 54 years, Sandra is survived by a brother, Norman Achin, of Little Fork, MN; a sister, Laural Rondeau and her husband Albert, of Cranston; a son, Christian Berg and his wife Lindell, of Tamaqua, PA.; two daughters, Susan Morinville, of Cumberland, and Melissa DiFilippo, of St. Thomas, USVI; two stepsons, William Berg and his wife Tamara, of Narragansett, and David Berg Jr. and his wife Connie, of Hilton Head, SC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Sarah Wood, Shaina Fiorelli, Samantha Jenks, Seth Morinville, Toby Berg, Timothy Berg and Stephanie Mansour, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Sandra's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 9 AM to 11 AM, followed by a Prayer Service at 11 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road in Cumberland. Burial will be private.
