Ronald G. Ledoux, 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in the Philip Hulitar, Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Providence. He was the husband of Janet (Lane) Ledoux. They have been married for the past 51 years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George and Helen (Messier) Ledoux. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.
He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He received his Mechanical Design degree and associate degree, along with an honorary bachelor's degree from Wentworth Institute, a bachelor's degree from Roger Williams University. Ron was a longtime supporter of various charities including the Shriners, Wounded Warrior Project, American Legion, and St. Jude's Children Research Hospital to name a few.
A member of the Wentworth Institute, Roger Williams Alumni, the Jaycee's of Cumberland, MCAA (Mechanical Contractors Association of America) along with many other business organizations,
Ron was an avid golfer and music lover, the louder the music the better. He was a joker at heart and enjoyed having a good time, but most of all Ron enjoyed spending time with his family especially all his girls.
He was the President and CEO of J.C. Higgins Corporation of Stoughton, MA for many years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters; Jennifer L. Daniels and her husband Michael; and Melissa A. Day and her husband Michael all of Cumberland. His brother, Dennis Ledoux of Cumberland, along with his three granddaughters; Kaiya Day; Brenna and Michaela Daniels.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Ron's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM, and continuing on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in St. Aidan-St. Patrick Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Tunnel to Towers, 2361Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
