CUMBERLAND

Roger W. Taylor, 79, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the VA Medical Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Maureen A. (Hinds) Taylor.

Born in Pawtucket, Roger was the son of the late Everett W. and Pauline T. (Ziminkowski) Taylor. He made his home in Cumberland for most of his life.

Roger was a 1965 graduate of Cumberland High School. Following graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and served in Sicily during the Vietnam era.

He later worked as a manager at North Central State Airport in Lincoln. Roger had a lifelong fascination with airplanes and also enjoyed working on cars. A true jack-of-all-trades, he possessed a remarkable ability to repair almost anything and was always willing to put his skills to good use.

Roger leaves his two sons, Michael W. Taylor of Cumberland and Scott A. Taylor of North Smithfield; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and his sister, Terry Taylor of Bristol.

His funeral services will be held privately.
