Robert "Tony" A. Thornhill,  85, of Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.  He was the husband of Anita L. (Trudeau) Thornhill and they had been happily married for the past 64 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Louise (Robillard) Thornhill.  He resided in Lincoln since 1964.

Mr. Thornhill was employed as a Union - Local 1 Mason for many years until his retirement.

Bob or "Tony" as he was affectionately known was a communicant of St. Jude Church, Lincoln.   He was a civil war and sports enthusiast, enjoyed reading, and loved dancing.  He loved spending time by the ocean, and those who love him will remember the dedication to his family and love he shared with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves his children, Laurie Messier of Warwick, Jay Thornhill of Tampa, FL, Tracie McCusker of Wakefield and Julie Schwoebel of North Kingstown; his nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.   He was the brother of the late Doris Menard, Wilfred Thornhill, Thelma Cimini, and Gerald Thornhill.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Robert's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in the St. Jude Church, Front Street, Lincoln.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
