Obituary

Robert W. Sendling, 76, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He was the husband of Miriam (Johnson) Sendling, they have been married for the past 56 Years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Solly and Rose (Tritendi) Sendling. Bob resided in Cumberland for the past 4 years, previously residing in North Providence.

Bob enjoyed racing 1/4 scale remote control cars, and was an extraordinary harmonica player who loved the blues. His passion for the blues led he and his friend Charlie to form their own blues band. He was a superintendant of the Sunday School at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Providence, and Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Warwick. He was also a Sunday School teacher at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Attleboro, where he was currently a parishioner. Bob also enjoyed spending time with his family but most of all his four cherished grandchildren.

He was regional sales director for FedEx, Lincoln for many years until his retirement. He previously was employed by Overnight Freight and also Yellow Freight for many years.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Bob's funeral mass, to be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10 AM in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 647 North Main Street Attleboro, MA 02703. Burial will follow Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Arrangments are entrusted to the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland, RI.
