Robert W. Laperche Sr., 85, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, in the Hebert Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Smithfield, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Cecile M (Brodeur) Laperche.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Clarence and Honora (Blanchette) Smith. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lincoln.
Bob was an avid gardner, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was machine operator for the former Pawtucket Fasteners, Pawtucket for 28 years until his retirement in 2005.

He is survived by his two children: Robert W. Laperche Jr., and Beverly Mandeville both of Cumberland. His brother Ronald Laperche of Hot Springs, AR., seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Allan L. Laperche, and brother of the late Normand Laperche and Arthur Laperche.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Bob's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM and continuing on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in St. Joan of Arc Church 3357 Mendon Road Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
