CUMBERLAND

Robert D. Hamann Jr., 70, of Cumberland, passed away at home.   He was the husband of the late Linda (Dorian) Hamann with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.

Born in Rumford, Maine, he was the son of the late Robert and Genevieve (Hawkins) Hamann Sr.   He resided in Cumberland for the past 27 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.

Mr Hamann was employed as a pharmacist for Rite Aid in Pawtucket for over 20 years, retiring in 2014.   In retirement he worked part time  at Market Basket in Attleboro.

Bob as was affectionately known, enjoyed cheering for New England teams, as well as the New York Giants.  He was an avid country music fan, and had the gift of humor, always making those around him laugh.  He will always be remembered as a loving and caring father and a friend to all.

He leaves his children, Jeffrey Dupre of Woonsocket, Brian Hamann and his wife Amanda of Cumberland; his sister, Kathryn Cleary of Dundee, MI; his nieces, Jennifer and Christine; as well as his great-nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Robert's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM and continue on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home,  757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM at the St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
