Rita J. (Perry) LaPorte,  75, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Lincolnwood in North Providence.

Born in Attleboro, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Yvonne (Gaumond) Perry.  She resided in Lincoln since 2006, previously residing in Cumberland and Pawtucket.

Mrs. LaPorte worked at Vista Donuts for at least 40 years and at Apex for many years.

Rita enjoyed spending time going out to breakfast and dinner with her friends.   She also enjoyed creating personalized gifts for others, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

She leaves her two children, Jennifer Y. Gingras of Cumberland and Christopher LaPorte of Rumford;  her grandchildren, Brannon Burns and Sabrina (Felix) Burns; her sister, Linda Cowan and her husband Vince of Tennessee, three brothers, Edward and Linda Perry of Attleboro, Robert and Claire Perry Sr. of Florida, and Norman and Irene Perry of West Warwick; she also leaves her sisters-in-law, Eileen Perry of Manville, Eileen Perry of Scituate and June Perry of Lincoln; her brother-in-law, Charlie Matteo of Cumberland; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was the sister of the late Theresa Fanion, Doris Gauvin, Joan Nason, Margaret Harrison, Barbara Matteo, Frank Perry Jr., Raymond Perry, and Donald Perry.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Rita's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM.  A prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM.  Her burial will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11 AM in St. Stephen Cemetery, Attleboro.
