Obituary

Richard George Goyette, age 91, of Smithfield, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home. He was the husband of the late Lea (Lymburner) Goyette. Born on August 19, 1934, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he was the son of Alice (Tetreault) and Rudolph Goyette.

Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Following his service, he built a long and successful career as a skilled toolmaker in the machine shop industry.

Demonstrating remarkable dedication and entrepreneurial spirit, he founded Goyette Machine Associates, Inc., where he worked for 45 years. His craftsmanship, work ethic, and commitment to excellence earned him the respect of colleagues and the community alike.

Richard was a widower and devoted family man who took great pride in his children and their families. He is survived by his loving children: Paul Goyette, Robert Goyette, Diane Doucette, and William Goyette. He also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.  Richard is also survived by his brother-in-law, Lin Lymburner, and his wife, Jeanne.

It was Richard's wish that all services be private.
