Richard J. Gouin Jr., 69, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in RI Hospital, Providence.

Born in Place, he was the son of the late Richard J. and Muriel (Valiquette) Gouin Sr.. He resided in Cumberland for the past 34 years, previously residing in Woonsocket.

He was an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his children: Christopher Gouin and his former wife Monica Gouin both of Mattapoisett, MA., Jennifer Reid and her husband Jeffrey of Woonsocket, and Melisa Babikian and of Cumberland. Nine grandchildren: Stephen Gouin, Zachary Babikian, Tyler Robertson, Morgan Robertson, James Robertson, Nicholas Gouin, Alexander Babikian, Elizabeth Reid, and Bryan Reid. He is also survived by his longtime friend Larry Barbeau of Cumberland.

Relatives and friends are invited to Richard's Visiting Hours to be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland.
