NARRAGANSETT

Richard C. Antone, 71, formerly of Cumberland passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence.   He was the husband of Frances (McDermott) Antone.

Born in Cumberland he was the son of the late George and Florence (Smith) Antone.  He resided in Narragansett for the past 22 years, previously residing in Cumberland.

Mr. Antone  was the former owner of Antone & Sons Shoe Repair in Cumberland for many years.  He later worked in the local Banking industry.

Richard enjoyed gardening, enjoyed nature, especially all animals, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his son, Charles Antone of Barrington, his daughter, Mikhael Antone D'Angelo of New York; his siblings,  George Antone of Newport, Patricia Knight of Bristol, Therese Antone of Newport; his four grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Peter Antone, Louis Antone and Alice Antone.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Richard's Life Celebration to be held with a Visitation on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  Burial will be private.
