Raymond Neves, 74, of Lincoln, RI, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026 with his loving famify by his side. He was the husband of Ana (Freches) Neves. They had been married for 41 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Joaquim and Maria (Pires) Neves.
Raymond earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bryant College in 197 4. He worked as a CPA for many organizations including the State of Rhode Island, the City of Central Falls, and his own private tax preparation service. Raymond was also a musician for many years, performing on accordion professionally throughout the 1980's and 90's. From then until slightly before his passing, he continued to perform as a member of Our Lady of Fatima Folkloric !Rancho.
A devoted member of the Lions Club and a die-hard Patriots and Red Sox fan, Raymond lived life to its fullest and was the kindest, most gentle soul right to the end.
Besides his wife, Raymond is survived by his daughter Kate NevesDonDero, her husband Josh DonDero and grandson, all of Portsmouth; his sister Joyce Neves of Cumberland; his brother David Neves and wife J-anice of Woonsocket; his sister-in-law Terry Mae Neves of Cumberland: and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Paul Neves of Cumberland. Raymond is also survived by his devoted caregiver, nephew David Rebocho of Pawtucket.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Raymond's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Wednesday October 7 2026, from 5 to 8 pm, in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. His funeral will continue Thursday October 8 2026 at 8:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Dr. Cumberland. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Lincoln Lions Club Scholarship Fund.
