Obituary

Raymond G. Brouillette, 63, of Narragansett and formerly of Cumberland, passed away  unexpectedly from complications of pneumonia on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Raymond H. and Evelyn (Breault) Brouillette.

Ray was known for his huge heart, unwavering loyalty, and fierce love for animals —  especially those in need. His passion for rescuing pit bulls, horses, and countless other animals led him to be the co-owner of PeaceWorks Animal Sanctuary and featured on PitBulls and Parolees. Ray supported animal shelters around New England. His commitment to their care was only matched by his adventurous spirit.

A certified rescue diver, a diver for the Newport Dive Center and a lifelong Red Sox fan.  Ray approached everything with determination, skill, and heart. Whether it was diving into the ocean depths, casting a fishing line, or cheering for his team, he gave his all.  But above all, Ray treasured the simple joys — fishing, family gatherings, and time spent with those he loved.

Ray is predeceased by his brother Robert Brouillette. He leaves behind his brother, David Brouillette of Narragansett; two sisters, Nancy (Brouillette) Hastings and her husband David of Cumberland, and Carol Brouillette of Deep River, CT; his two nephews Keith Medieros of Charlestown RI and Jeffery Medieros of Madison CT; his cherished niece, Michaela Hastings of Cumberland RI; as well as his companion Elayne
Jackson of Cranston RI.

Ray's funeral services and burial will be held privately.
