Obituary

Rainer "Ray" Walter Wolansky, 74, of Attleboro, MA, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on August 10, 2024.

Ray was born February 14, 1950, in Gau Odernheim, Germany,
the son of Dimitri and Maria (Daub/Muller) Wolansky. His family came to the United States in 1956.

He married Diane (Berger) Wolansky on June 28, 1969, at St Matthews in Central Falls, RI and was drafted into the US Army in 1972.
He graduated from Pawtucket West High School (currently Shea) in 1968, then went on to earn a bachelor's degree at Johnson & Wales, and a master's degree from Bryant College in 1985
(now Bryant University).

Ray worked at Key Container in Pawtucket, RI for 28 years and then worked at Packaging Consultants in New Bedford, MA from 1992 until he retired in 2014. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his grandsons.

Remaining to honor Ray's memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Diane; children, Tania Wolansky and Jodie Wolansky; grandchildren, Andres Wolansky and Chase Babbitt; and a
sister.  Preceding Ray in death are his parents Dimitri and Maria Wolansky, Ray's brothers Mario Wolansky and Gilbert Wolansky.

In accordance with Ray's wishes, visitation and funeral will be respectfully omitted. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made in Ray's name to the Bryant Fund at Bryant University, 1150 Douglas Pike Smithfield, RI 02917.Online memorial: jjduffyfuneralhome.com
