Peter Mandeville, 71, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Susan K. (Hughes) Mandeville. They were married for the past 51 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of Peter and Helen (Goulet) Mandeville. He resided in Smithfield for the past 49 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.

Peter was an avid bass fisherman. He enjoyed coaching for the Smithfield Little League and Smithfield Youth Soccer for many years, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Peter enjoyed spending time in his yard, fixing and repairing things around the house.

He was employed as a sheet metal foreman for General Dynamics, Electric Boat division in Quonset for 38 years until his retirement in 2015.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Jill S. Mandeville of Smithfield and Scott P. Mandeville and his wife Sarah of Hopedale, MA. His four grandchildren: Lucy, Calvin, Alice, and Sam. He was the brother-in-law of: Marleen Alawneh and her husband Abdallah of North Providence, and Will Hughes of Lincoln.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Peter's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM and continuing on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Smithfield Youth Soccer, PO Box 456, Smithfield, RI 02917.
