Schnelle, Pauline Mary, 98 years, of Cumberland passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at her son's house in Loxahatchee, Florida. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late James F. Schnelle, Sr. She was also a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed traveling and dining out, but most of all Pauline loved spending time with her family.
Born in Berkeley, Rhode Island, Pauline was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Coletta) Bucci. She was a lifelong resident of Cumberland and was a graduate of Cumberland High School. She was the sister of the late Florence Spaziano (Nicholas) of Cumberland and the late Antonetta Matteo (Ernest) of Smithfield.
Pauline was a woman of faith and a communicant of the Historic St. Joseph Church in Cumberland.
Pauline held many jobs. She was a Customer Service Assistant Manager of Gracious Living, she worked as an auditor for the Federal Government Department of Labor Wage/Hour Division, from which she retired. During her active retirement, Pauline was a tour hostess for Tauck Tours and traveled throughout the United States. She was a member of the Business and Professional Woman's Club for many years.
Pauline is survived by her son, James F. Schnelle, Jr. of Loxahatchee, Florida and her daughter, Jan Schnelle LaBoucane (Dale) of La Luz, New Mexico. Pauline is also survived by her two grandchildren, Jonathan Schnelle (Genie) of Erie, Colorado and Erika Wilcox (Eric) of Brentwood, California. She is survived by five great grandchildren, Sidney Wilcox, Chloe Wilcox, Zachary Wilcox, Toby Wilcox, and Zoe Schnelle.
She is also survived by her loving nieces, Darlene Guerin (Edmond), who provided many years of care and support for Auntie Pauline; Donna Olson (Richard) and Carol Abruzzi (David), and their children and grandchildren, Marc Guerin (MaryAnn, their children Henri and Danielle), Jessica Petrarca (Anthony), Andrew Olson (Solanch) and Beth Thibault (Jamie).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to your favorite charity. Services and burial will be private.
