Paula J. (Bara) Carlin, 68, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of William B. Carlin III. They have been married for the past 25 years.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Lillian (Pointek) Broomfield of Cumberland, and the late Joseph M. Bara, and also the stepdaughter of the late Marshall Broomfield. Paula was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.

Paula's life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to cultivating meaningful connections and treasured memories with her beloved family, her Navigant colleagues, and a multitude of friends throughout the years.

She was a 1973 graduate of Cumberland High School.

She was employed by Navigant Credit Union, Corporate Offices, Smithfield for more than 20 years until her retirement.

In addition to her husband, William, she is survived by her children: Amy L. (Pratte) Moor of Woodstock, GA, and Daniel T. Pratte and his wife, Kristen of Marietta, GA. Her three sisters: Linda Bara of Glen Burnie, MD, Janice Strout of Cumberland, and Judith Waterman of Cumberland. Her four grandchildren: Grace and Brayden Moor of Woodstock, GA, and Mason and Benjamin Pratte of Marietta, GA., along with several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her "sista" from another mother, Deborah Scott of Cumberland.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Paula's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 4 PM to 7 PM followed by a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
