Obituary

Attleboro, MA

Paul J. Brillon, 76, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jeanne (Fredette) Brillon. They have been married for the past 48 years.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Gerald L. and Gertrude J. (Duclos)Brillon. Paul was a lifelong resident of South Attleboro.

He found joy in life's everyday moments—whether working outdoors with the rhythmic hum of a lawn mower, tending to his garden with quiet dedication, or putting his fix-it skills to good use around the house. He was the kind of man who could turn a simple weekend into something special, often welcoming loved ones with a home-cooked meal and warm hospitality. Entertaining came naturally to him, especially when shared over a perfectly stirred martini during evenings out with his beloved wife. But what meant the most was being surrounded by family—those times filled with laughter, good food, and the love he so generously gave.

Paul was a US Army Veteran and Bronze Star recipient, serving during the Vietnam War. After returning from Vietnam, he volunteered for many years with the South Attleboro Rescue Squad.

He was a Production Manager, employed by the former American Dryer Corporation, Fall River, MA for five years, until his retirement in 2015. Paul was also a member of the Attleboro Police Auxiliary Department for more than 40 years, finishing his career as Commander.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his nine brothers and sisters: Gerald Brillon Jr., and his wife Diane of South Attleboro; Frances Costa and her husband Joseph of North Attleboro; Roland Brillon and his wife Mary Jane of Attleboro; Russell Brillon and his wife Kimberly of Westminister, MA.; Julie Forbes of North Attleboro; Theresa Cook and her husband Robert of South Attleboro; Bernadette Cook and her husband Timothy of South Attleboro; and Arthur Brillon and his wife Mary of South Attleboro, along with many nieces and nephews and beloved members of the Fredette family. He was the brother of the late Christopher Brillon.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Paul's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, July 22, 2025,  from 4 PM to 7 PM and continuing on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 9 AM in the J.
