Patricia A. (McDonald) Marchese, 88, of Pawtucket, passed away on August 10, 2024 at the MaineHealth Memorial Hospital, North Conway, NH. She was the wife of the late Carl Marchese.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Gibson) McDonald. She was a life-long resident of Pawtucket.
Mrs. Marchese was employed as a Branch Manager in the banking industry for many years. In retirement she was a Teacher's Assistant for the Pawtucket School Department for 17 years finally retiring at the age of 82 in 2018.
She enjoyed traveling to the family vacation home in Narragansett, as well as traveling to North Conway, NH. She enjoyed shopping, but most of all she cherished her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She leaves her beloved children, Stephen Marchese and his wife Lyn of Pawtucket, Lori Clegg of Pawtucket, Lisa Moreau and her husband Marc of Narragansett; her seven grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Jenna, Jessica and her spouse Benny, Stephanie and her spouse Jeff, Kyle, Kayla, Justin, Nicholas and his girlfriend Julie; her eight great-grandchildren, Maleha, Nevaeh, Guiliana, Matthew, Lilliana, Ryan, Olivia and Cameron; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Carl "Butch" Marchese, and mother-in-law of the late Jack Clegg and sister of the late Mary Russo, James McDonald Jr., Ruth Carlson, and Elizabeth Lombardi.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Patricia's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM and continue on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in the Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association of RI, 245 Waterman St #306, Providence, RI 02906.
