CUMBERLAND
Olivia Cunha, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 82 in the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 1, 1942, in Freixo Da Serra, Portugal before settling in Cumberland. She was the daughter of the late Jose Tente Guerra and Preciosa da Graca. Olivia was the devoted wife of the late Celestino Cunha.

She was known for her kindness and generosity. She had a passion for cooking and gardening and enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Above all her true enjoyment in life was the time spent with her family and friends.

She was also a devout member of Our Lady of Fatima Church.

She is survived by her two children, Jose Cunha and his wife Rose of Cumberland and Isabel LaPlante and her husband Michael also of Cumberland. Olivia was the cherished grandmother of Andre LaPlante, Victoria Cunha, and Joshua Cunha as well as great grandmother to Cristiano Cunha. Olivia leaves her 3 sisters, Maria Da Luz Nunes and Gracinda Ferraz of Portugal and Isaura Santos of Brazil.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Olivia's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5 to 8 PM and continue on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 NOON in the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
