LINCOLN

Nancy L. Elderkin, 73, of Lincoln, RI, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at her winter home in Lake Suzy, FL.  She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Richard Elderkin. In recent years she was the beloved companion of the late Donald Larocque of Worcester, MA.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Gertrude (Toppin) Ferruche.  She resided in Lincoln for most of her life. Nancy graduated from Lincoln High School where she was a cheerleader and actively involved in the drama club.

Nancy dedicated her life to the care and concerns of her family.  Throughout her life Nancy worked and volunteered for numerous organizations within the town of Lincoln. She was the class advisor for the Lincoln High School class of 1995.

Nancy loved to travel and visited countries around the world throughout her life.  She was an avid golfer and former member of both Pawtucket and Lincoln Country Clubs.  She also loved nature and enjoyed spending time at the family summer home in Belgrade, Maine.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She shared a lifelong friendship with her "Beach Biddies" and cherished their girls weekend getaways.

She leaves her loving children, Justin Elderkin and his wife, Kerry of North Andover, MA and Amanda Lesperance and her husband, Stephen of Lake Suzy, FL; her brother Lewis Ferruche and his wife Joann of Boynton Beach, FL; her four beloved grandchildren, Meghan and Connor Elderkin, and Grace and Hannah Simoneau; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Nancy's Life Celebration to be held at JJ Duffy Funeral Home in Cumberland, RI with Visiting Hours on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 NOON.  A commemorative service will be held at 12 NOON.
