Nancy C. Benitez, 69, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, in RI Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her family.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and
Blanche (Benoit) Walker. Nancy resided in North Providence for the past 7 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.

Nancy enjoyed spending her free time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her fury grandson Niko. She also enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting events.

She was employed by Schoolhouse Candy for many years until her retirement.

She is survived by her son: Jairo E. Benitez Jr. and his wife Carla of Cumberland. Her brothers and sisters: William T. Walker Sr.; James E. Walker; Brian J. Walker; and Gloria J. Arias, along with her two grandchildren: Diego and Marcus Benitez. She was the sister of the late Alan B. Walker; Robert Walker, Belle Pellegrinoand, and Darlene A. Smith.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Nancy's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:45 PM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
