Mildred L. Cook, 99, passed away on Tuesday November 4th, 2025, at her home in North Smithfield, RI surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Francis P. Cook.

Born in Hinesburg, VT, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Hazel (Stockwell) Bobar and one of nine children. Mildred has resided in North Smithfield for the past 6 years, previously residing in Warwick for over 50 years.

Mildred worked for the Warwick Public School Department for well over 30 years in post-retirement as a lunch aide at Park Elementary School in Warwick, RI. She worked for Jay Printing in Warwick, RI prior to retiring.

Mildred enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She was also an avid reader, completing at least a book a week.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Patricia Taft of North Smithfield, RI, Francis and his wife Jean Cook of Wayne, PA, and David Cook of Warwick, RI. She leaves five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Mildred's Life Celebration to be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A prayer service will be held at 11 AM.  Burial will follow at RI Veteran Cemetery, Exeter.
