CENTRAL FALLS

Miguel A. Moreno,  69,  of Cumberland, formerly of Central Falls, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Born in Puerto RIco, he was the son of the late Francisco and Asuncion (Aponte) Moreno. He moved this country in his early 20's, settling in Syracuse, NY to begin a farming career.  He later moved to Pawtucket, and Central Falls.

Mr. Moreno  was employed by the former Ocean Fresh Seafood in North Attleboro for many years until his retirement.

Miguel enjoyed fishing, cooking, as well as spending time with his family.

He leaves his daughter, Angelica Moreno of Pawtucket, his two sons, Miguel Moreno Jr. of Cleveland, OH and  Erik Moreno of Brooklyn, CT; his step-children, Nitzia Munoz of Pawtucket, Carol Santiago of Central Falls, and Aralys Santigo of Pawtucket; his grandchildren, Josiah Diaz, Jadiel Diaz, Jalynn Diaz, Peyton Moreno, Christian Moreno, Scarlett Moreno,and Silas Moreno; his step-grandchildren, Mariana Santiago, Jazlyn Santiago, Rigo Dominici, Genisis Dominici, Briana Roman, Zoey Munoz, Wilson Echevarria Jr., and Haizelynn Echevarria;  he is also survived by four siblings.   He was also predeceased by seven siblings.

Relatives and friend are kindly invited to Miguel's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM and continue on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A prayer service will be held at 11 AM in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
