Michele "Mitch" (Hebert) Therien, 71, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She leaves her loving partner and best friend of 24 years, Ned McCleary.

Born in Woonsocket, April 17, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Mariette (Briere) Hebert. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.

She lived with a generous heart and a joyful spirit, finding purpose in the things—and the beings—she loved most. Rescuing senior boxer dogs was one of her greatest passions, and she cared for each one with tenderness, patience, and unwavering devotion. Traveling brought her happiness, especially her cherished trips to Aruba, where the warmth of the island matched her own. She treasured the time spent with her friends at St. Joe's Vets in Woonsocket and the Pot Belly Pub in Millville, places where laughter, companionship, and community filled her days. Her life was defined by compassion, friendship, and a love that reached far beyond herself.

In addition to her partner, she is survived by her brothers Rene Hebert and his wife Tina of Woonsocket, Richard Hebert and his wife Debra of Blackstone, MA. Her stepdaughter Erin Kate McCleary of Providence,
along with several nieces and cousins. She was the sister of the late Andre Hebert.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Michele's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Friday, February 13, 2026, 4 PM to 7 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
