NORTH PROVIDENCE

DREZEK, Michael J., 78, of North Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at home. He was the husband of Therese M. (Dame) Drezek, and they had been married for the past 55 years.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Frank and Sophie V. (Szczoczarz) Drezek. He resided in North Providence for the past 49 years.

Mr. Drezek was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

He was employed as FCM Machine Operator for the Teknor Apex Company for 41 years until his retirement in 2003.

Michael was a communicant of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in North Providence. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Those who love him will always remember his passion for growing and sharing his garden, his generous and loving nature, and his gift to always lend a helping hand to anyone.

In addition to his wife Therese, he leaves his children, David A. Drezek of Blandon, PA, Kenneth M. Drezek and his wife Melissa of Burrillville, and Christine M. Tinsley and her husband JC of Smithfield; his grandchildren; Haley Drezek, Madison Drezek, Conrad Drezek, Marissa Drezek, and Samantha Tinsley; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Frank Drezek Jr. and his late wife Betty Ann Drezek and Paul Drezek.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Michael's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 4 to 8 PM and continue on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 PM in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, North Providence. Burial will follow in the Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
