Mary Dorothy (Lopes) Sroga 106 passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, at the Holiday Retirement Home with her loving daughter and son-in-law by her side.

She was the wife of the late Chester Sroga and PFC William Costa (WWII) of East Providence. Born on May 9, 1920, in Seekonk, MA she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Silva) Lopes.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine (Costa) Picard, her husband Edmond, by her grandchildren Jeffrey Picard and wife Allyson of Smithfield, Todd Picard and husband Carl of Ft Lauderdale, and Brad Picard and wife Kristi of Foster. She was the great grandmother of Maxwell, Skyla, Hunter, Lyric and Xander.

She is also survived by her brother E Thomas Lopes of Orlando. She was predeceased by brothers Joseph, Anthony, James, Paul and sister Anna Madelaine Marabello.

She had been a member of the Holy Cross Church in Central Falls and St Aidan 'of Cumberland.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Holiday Retirement Home for their care and kindness.

Relative and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday July 2, 2026, at St. Aidan's Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Seekonk. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 to 10:15 A.M.
