Cumberland,

Mary A. Savard, 78, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Frank Savard Jr.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Greta (Sanchangrin) Lafond Sr. Mary was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.

She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and elephants. Mary was a faithful Elvis fan. Enjoyed her puzzle books, jig-saw puzzles, playing penny poker with family.

She leaves her three daughters, Dawn Dion and her husband Tim of Cumberland, Brenda Savard of Naples, FL., and Debra Collette and her husband John of Chepachet. Her four grandchildren, Terry Savard Sr., Jerry Savard, Elizabeth Dion, and Skyla Collette; her three beloved great-grandchildren, Terry Savard Jr., Braiden Savard, and Avery Savard. Her two brothers: Maurice Lafond Jr., of Cumberland, and Michael Lafond of Pawtucket. Three sisters: Margaret Sheppard of Coventry, Maureen Sonner of Cumberland, and Marilyn LaFountaine of Plumas Lake, CA., along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marcia Lafond, Mildred Beauchamp, and Muriel Medlin.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
