CUMBERLAND

MACDONALD, Mary E., 84, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at the Mt. St. Rita Health Centre in Cumberland.

Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (MacGillivray) MacDonald. She resided in Cumberland since 2016, previously residing in South Attleboro.

Miss MacDonald was an Assistant Treasurer for the Pioneer Group for over 30 years until her retirement in 1998.

Mary graduated from Bentley University in Waltham, MA in 1959. She was a cat lover, world traveler and enjoyed learning about history and other cultures.

She leaves her cousin Ellen C. Palin and her husband Maurice of Pascoag; as well as her other cousins, Christopher Palin of New Jersey, Therese (Palin) Ambers and her husband James of Seekonk, MA, Caroline (Palin)May and her husband Donald of Pascoag. She was the sister of the late John D. MacDonald and Gerard A. MacDonald.

Her funeral and burial will be private.
