CUMBERLAND
Mary Kollar passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17th. She was the daughter of John Louis
Picken and Lois Benson, younger sister to Joan, wife of Robert Kollar, mother to Scott and Alex, mother in law to Maria, grandmother to Abigail and Emily and friend to all who knew her.

Mary was originally from Illinois, moving to Rhode Island with her family in 1980. She was an animal lover, always having a dog by her side. Gretchen, Pugsy, Bandit, Phoebe and Rikki were all loyal and loving members of her family.

Mary was a former school teacher and librarian. She was an avid reader and was in a book club as well as an Audubon Society volunteer. She kept the birds in her yard fed well and enjoyed viewing them. Mary was a lifelong meditator and very active church member. She was also a member of PEO, the Red Hat Society and Providence Zen Center.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Mary's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 1 to 4 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt.122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 PM. Burial will be private at the RI Veteran Cemetery, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Audubon Society.
