Mary A. (Fontaine) Bishop, 76, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to late William R. Bishop.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice (McDermott) Fontaine. She resided in Attleboro for the past 6 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.
Mary loved to shop on Amazon, enjoyed exotic birds, and going to Twin River in Lincoln, however most of all she enjoyed spending time with great-granddaughter Kennedy.
She was the loving mother of Ann-Marie Widmann (David) and Keriann Brown (Danny). She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Bethany Bishop, Michaela Ferreira, Alessandra Davidson (Widmann) and Kurt Widmann and her two great grandchildren Kennedy Spaulding, and Kylian Davidson, one brother Louis Fontaine of Florida along with several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Judith Ann Ferreira, and sister of the late Doris and George Fontaine.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Mary's Memorial Service to be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in the Darlington Congregational Church, 685 Central Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02861. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland, RI.
