Marie Pauline (Ambeault) Masse, 75, of Cumberland passed away on April 14, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving and devoted wife of Ernest Masse who passed away in 1984.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Therese (Chevalier) Ambeault. She was a life-long resident of Cumberland.
She attended the Sawyer School, with focus on Office Information Services. Mrs. Masse was employed as a secretary for A-1 Copier in Pawtucket for many years until her retirement.
Marie was a devoted grandmother, caring for her grandchildren in many ways. She was a communicant of the St. Aidan's/St. Patrick Parish.
She leaves her children, Manuel C. Silva and his wife Lori Lawrence-Silva of Cumberland, and Melanie A. Silva and her wife Annie Cronin of West Warwick; her siblings, Late Frederick Ambeault Jr. of Lincoln, Late Roger Ambeault of Cumberland, Lorraine Thibeault of Pawtucket, Susanne Ambeault of Lincoln and Irene Ambeault of Cumberland; her beloved grandchildren, Georgiana Silva of Cumberland and Alexander Lawrence of Cumberland; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Marie's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 4 to 7 PM and continue on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 9 AM in the J. J Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in the St. Aidan/St. Patrick Parish, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
