PAWTUCKET

Marie Pauline (Hamel) Lambert, 86, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Edward Lambert.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Marie (Prince) Hamel. She was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.

Mrs. Lambert was the office manager for Hamel's Tire Inc. in Cumberland for many years until her retirement.

Marie was a devoted former member of St. Leo Parish in Pawtucket, where her faith was a guiding light in her life. She found joy in camping, the rhythm of square dancing—gracefully moving to the music with friends—and she never turned down the thrill of a good bowling match. With a keen eye and a steady hand, she was always ready to roll a strike and share a laugh along the way.

She leaves behind her brothers, Raymond Hamel of Blackstone, Joseph Hamel of Ohio, and Arthur Hamel of Cumberland; her nephew and caretaker, Ronald J. Mann, and his wife, Lynn, of Cumberland; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lucille Mann, Claire Veilleux, and Paul Hamel.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Marie's Life Celebration, beginning with Visiting Hours on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM, and continuing on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM at St. Aidan/St. Patrick Parish, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
